Northland vs. Auckland

@Dice Playing Akira Ioane into the ground was a better option instead.

Not that it matters but was TJ Faiane not offside when he scored?

Only a metre or so

It was so obvious watching live so I have no idea what the AR was looking at.

That was a hella young starting loose trio for Auckland tonight. All 3 plus Papalii are 21 years old. Cameron Suafua is also only 21. There is a future there if they can retain them all.

@DrivingMaul are the Bs playing beforehand?
@Nogusta yes they were

@DrivingMaul Cheers for that. You do great work.

Does anyone know when Manu is due back?
I like Tele'a at 13. My preference would be to keep the TJ/Tele'a partnership together as much as possible. Manu might need to play wing
@Duluth I'd do it the other way round with Manu at 13 and Tele'a on the wing

@KiwiMurph Thank you

Yeah I can understand that. Tele'a is a better winger than Manu
I just think the TJ/Tele'a partnership might be the long term midfield for Auckland and the Blues.
So the more they play together the better -

@Duluth Someone mentioned in the Harbour game thread I think that he would miss the first couple of games, so he may well be available for the next game Vs BOP. They have a nice 10 day gap now to get over the bumps and bruises.

For what is essentially a northern newspaper, the NZ Herald has not even bothered to print a report on this game. Either a statement on the decline of the standing of the Mitre 10 cup or the further decline of journalism quality at the Herald, probably both. Then they wonder why we won't pay for 'Premium'!

@Daffy-Jaffy the 7am news this morning didnt even mention the game at all, it was on the digital strip on the bottom of the screen only...think they mentioned it in the 7.30 round up.
