Bart, any advice about tight/sore abductors? I've been getting more flexible and getting lower on front and back squats - seem to have hit a sticking point and I've worked out its an abductor/hip thingy problem. Worst when doing front squats and trying to keep the torso upright.
Any tips about good stretches or supplementary exercises would be awesome. I'll be asking my PT but keen to see what the fern Trashheap says!

Going to ask Kirwan as well, just in case this is something that a lot of people encounter in Xfit.

Sooooo, stretches - have always been very flexable even when a fat bastaard, so I am the last person to ask about that sorry! Just do lots of stretches!

Nick, yup, does not take the body long to show sugar effects. I usuallu get Yoda face!

Training carries on as per normal, has been good, hard work and with the painting gig, on my feet and moving all day, weight has been peeling off. 86.5 this morning, 11% bodyfat. That BF though goes up and down more to do with water than anything I reckon - last week sometime I was 87.something, and the BF was 14 odd. But so long as it keeps going down, all will be good!!

Body has certainly changed in the last year since the operation (I think it's been ab out 11 months). Bigger across the chest and traps, now that the waist is starting to shrink again, my 'V' is much more pronounced, so all is going well, apart from one short arse bicep!!

Over.

What are you using for BF% Bart? One of those scales or pinch test or what?

just a pair of scales, they are usually not very accurate, but give you a rough idea. I know when I am dehydrated I am more % than when not!! Pinch test when visit nutritionist is the real guide - will see her next Sunday.

Have never measured mine (probably out of fear) but with my current shape its probably the best indicator of progress.

Jegga, yes, I could not remember who sent them though! So stoked, have knocked off the WW1 geran navy one, and can't wait to hoe into the rowing ones. THanks muchly! Not much time for reading at the moment doing a netfit PT course at the moment whcih is my 'off time' in the evening.

And speaking of rowing, knocked off a 2k in 7:13.0 this morning, 41 seonds off my PB, but first row for years. I had to set a target for the Gym 2k times board. THere is a sub 7 in the tank, but I just didn't want to hurt this morning!! Wus me.

Weight 86.6 and 10.1% at the moment, so no change in the last week, but with no cardio (or a spin x 1 a week and a Saturday morning 45 minute treadmill), there is plenty of scope for more loss, the 80.5 target does not seem so far away nowe as when I was hovering around the 90-92 mark!

New programme this week, and I am test judging at the Auckland NABBA show this weekend, Glenfield College, wish me luck (and I get insite into what judges are looking for on stage, so it wiull have to help!).

That is all, over and out for another week.,
