It makes the ball slippery, so yes. Both sides struggling with it

Great to see Hodgman dominating All Black tightheads. He's been good around the field, so if his scrummaging has stepped up it will be great.

So who was picking the chiefs for champs...?

Not that the first games means that much, but they've got a fair bit of work to do

Long season looming for the Chiefs on this effort so far.

I think @Tim had it right when he said there wasn’t much (up front) beyond the front row and Cane. With Neps and Harris out, the front row is no longer a strength, and we have four loosies playing with no senior lock.

Early days, but it could get ugly.

@Kirwan Maybe they should train with a slippery ball then?

Gats might need to be a miracle worker. With the Blues on track for a massive two game winning streak, things must be dire...

That should have been a penalty to us earlier - Tupaea tackler by a player on the ground.

They didn’t find anything close to a replacement for BBBR so we’re always going to be in trouble.

Man there’s been a lot average stuff in amongst a lot of potentiality good stuff..Blues should be up by 20 plus , but instead they could go into halftime after having most the ball and field position only 7 points up...general consensus from the press box is the halves have no taken control of this game ...

Get them any way you can I guess. We’re second best out there, but nice to see us get points with a bit of possession and territory.
