@Jailbreak7 Thank goodness. He is useless and not that I am wishing him any ill will.

Plummer is bloody near 100kg and can play 2nd five as well, so size is not the issue. Goal kicking on the other hand - although hold on, Perofeta is shit at that too.

Plummer it should be unless they want Black in the pocket again until BB comes back.

Plummer's best attribute, other than size, is he's a great communicator. Ruru won't be in any doubt about where to go with him on the field, might speed up his decision making.

A very good kicker at u20's etc, then he had technical problems during his first NPC and SR seasons.

There were positive signs in the 2019 NPC where he kicked at 74%. Thats a pass mark at least and far better than the previous 14 months

74% is more than a pass mark, that’s good. Only the Dan Carters, or a few like that are above 80%.

Hopefully he can take that into SR. As we need those points from kicks desperately.

    Perofeta’s early misses were vital.

or just put a different halfback in rather for some reason always defaulting to Ruru as the starter

Unfairly or not, Plummer has the reputation of missing crucial game-winning kicks, most notably against the Crusaders last year. So he will need to nail those pressure kicks in the future. I do remember him doing that for Auckland in the M10 Cup final vs Canterbury, but not for the Blues...yet.

you would hope Nock will get a chance this weekend, and he has a massive opportunity to claim that jersey, if not, Christie will get his chance and the merry-go-round will continue.
