Love my team but it’s going to be a loooong year for us. Need the new breed to step up but just can’t see it.

Hate to say it but Sharks to win this one but I hope not.@98blueandgold that's about it mate. From 2014 (2015 was a dream I thought would never come true), it's been a great ride full of out of the box tactics and good old southern pride. Made a few all blacks too!
Now it's like 2009 or some such but looking forward to some innovation from an inexperienced and under powered team.
Still unbeaten this year though!

If there's one team that is in rebuild mode, it's the Highlanders. If you change the usual hope/expectation from "reaching the play-offs" to "watching the team and individual players grow/improve" during the season, you can still get a lot of positives out of the season (and less disappointment). I think there are some very exciting young prospects in this squad and just watching them play will be fun, even if the good results don't come.
I'm also sure Tony Brown will have a huge impact and some tricks up his sleeve. Who knows, the team may surprise us.

If Barrett was in the country he'd be #2 - no question. But, Ioane is surely next in line - at least until Havili or Cruden prove to be revelations on Saturday night!
