Sorry about the late notice for that down time. I wanted to do the upgrade before the NZ v India Test started.
What changed?
Software
We're on the latest version of nodebb (we went from version 12.2 to 13.2 for anyone that gives a shit)
I don't think there's any new features that we care about. However they have fixed a lot of bugs
If you see anything that has stopped working please mention it in this thread
Server
The forum is generally fast. However the server would struggle at times during more popular matches
We have doubled the RAM, doubled the CPU and have more bandwidth now (storage is not an issue for at least 5 years)
Thank you to the patreon supporters for that one.
Because of their generosity we are more than covering costs. Everything they donate goes to TSF operating costs.. so we'll build up a buffer now
Config
A couple of small config changes:
I've moved the 'Rugby Matches' forum. It's no longer a sub category of 'Sports Talk'. A lot of people were having trouble seeing it.. I think the way nodebb show sub forums is a bit crap so it's easier to find at the top level:
I also added an icon for the home page. There some useful stuff on there now after years of neglect
- SR Teamsheets
- SR Highlights
- NZ SR team injury info
- NZ SR teams results history
Forum leaderboard for the needy posters chasing likes(this is broken, will fix soon)- Promoted posts whenever anybody bothers writing more than a couple of paragraphs

Thanks, but no need. We are comfortably covering costs, even with the larger server capacity. A small amount, regularly, from a large group of posters has really made a difference.
That said, Fern merch could be funny if nothing else. Open to suggestions
