So disorganised from the Canes, awful passing, no linking up off the breaks, only the shit Chiefs scrambling defense enabled that try.

I find the offside penalties against the chiefs very interesting after seeing the Canes Respect for the offside line

@Tim He fully deserved his ABs call-up, last year. Just not this year.

He's not a very average player. He's in very average form.

It was his support play and speed that got him in the All Blacks as very much third choice.

              He's a very average halfback.

The gap between Aaron Smith and every other halfback in NZ is like the Grand Canyon.

who else is available in the loosies?

I see no reason to not invest in TTT as much as possible

                          ALB is needed of course

And some help out wide - both Alaimalo and Stevenson are missing?

What a weapon of a boot Jordie has. I'm not saying it justifies a spot in the side, but it sure changes the dynamic when opposition have to be wary around every ruck and offside line from 60m out. The same way Steyn changed the rules about kicking back to him.

And casually Jordie B kicks a penalty from 58m. That's probably the only reason why he should be an AB again. His boot is great.

Jordie could still kick those and play at 12. Just saying.

Barrett is coming back from an injury. And hasn't played super rugby for some time. He was in great form before the close down

It’s a great weapon to have , and is more valuable at the higher level imo,

I think Jordie is young enough to be a great test fullback down the track , plenty of raw potential

Unfortunately we don’t have a culture in NZ of producing top quality, technical halfbacks. We tend to favour guys who are great footy players, but who are a bit small, and then squeeze them in there. Every 30 years or so a Bachop or a Smith comes along but we really struggle to produce decent 9s consistently like other nations do (thinking especially countries like RSA, France and Wales here). A shit halfback is like having a shit forward pack - just kills everything at the source

It’s an amazing achievement by Gatland. I didn’t think anyone could make me nostalgically remember Colin Cooper or Ian Foster.
