@Stargazer on ya bro. Sorry no time stamp - but when I went to watch it again I thought I was going mad as the replay wasn't coming up - then I kept watching after the whistle and it's at least a couple of minutes after.

@Bones Maybe this is the reason why there was no further sanction. I can't see whether his fist hits Strange's face, maybe it didn't, but Jordie wasn't quite so innoncent in that scuffle. Strange's punch came after Jordie's (attempted or successful) punch.

We seem to be glossing over this point, but WTF? Why did you pick the bloke??!!

Are all the poor bastards who went to the game or put money on the Chiefs ok with this wonderful sentiment?

“If we were right up there at the top, you probably wouldn’t have taken it into consideration,” Gatland said of the sentimental call, with his team already out of the running for the title at the time.*

Not okay with it at all. But the evidence that Gatland is a shithouse coach in a week in week out competition is so clear that it's sadly no surprise to read... 😞

@Bones I would have done the same thing if this had been a scuffle between Matt Duffie and Par Pari Parkinson, or Sean Wainui and James Blackwell. I just want the truth.

I wonder if the TAB is taking odds on which refereeing technicality Gatland will whinge about after our next defeat.

The fact that Cruden didn't take the field wasn't the losing of the game. If there was an injury to Trask he would have come on. Trask has been on the bench and not played a few times himself.

I don't believe you and neither does Barrett's nose. I know they have maaaad skills but I'm pretty sure he doesn't have the ability to scrunch his nose up like that to avoid that fist landing on it.

@Bones I never said that Strange's arm didn't touch his nose. I just said that I didn't see a striking motion of his arm. It could - for example - have happened when he lost his balance in the ruck and fell, and in that motion his arm connected with Jordie's nose who was lying on the ground. But that's just guessing, because - as I said - the footage is unclear/doesn't show it.

😂 Brilliant. His nose started bleeding after it was struck by Strange. Pretty simple. What did Strange go to the bin for?

i've found footage of it. sickening

@Bones Maybe this is the reason why there was no further sanction. I can't see whether his fist hits Strange's face, maybe it didn't, but Jordie wasn't quite so innoncent in that scuffle. Strange's punch came after Jordie's (attempted or successful) punch.

@Bones Maybe this is the reason why there was no further sanction. I can't see whether his fist hits Strange's face, maybe it didn't, but Jordie wasn't quite so innoncent in that scuffle. Strange's punch came after Jordie's (attempted or successful) punch.

You wouldn't catch the single digits having handbags like that.

Great to see Taavao and Ah Kuoi back. I feel like Vaai should have way more than 5 next to his name!

@Bones He got yellow because the AR said he saw him striking(?) (I don't remeber the exact word he used) Jordie with his (fore)arm. Maybe the Citing Commissioner, after watching other camera angles - concluded that the AR was wrong, or that it was completely accidental, or that it was so low-end that it didn't require a citing and that the yellow card was enough.

I don't know why it's so hard to grasp. Look at the footage yourself, and you'll see it's very unclear what happened when Jordie was at the bottom of that pile of bodies.

I may have made it up in my mind but wasn't there a shot in replay of Strange connecting with Jordie while holding his collar while standing up? Jersey punch thing like they do in AFL.
