Hawkes Bay, the team from near Hawke Bay take on visitors from the other side of the island who have negotiated safe passage through Palmerston North to get here on time.
It's a bit windy at McLean Park making the kicking tricky. -

Cooper v Barrett in the goal kicking ... we've got this, especially with Winterbottom whose only job all day will be to head straight for Broden.
Mullet Jesus v Maori Jesus is a tasty match up.

This would be competitive but sorry HB too many journeymen and almost every time I look at your team sheet and think he's a bit tidy I look at the match up and....

We have BBBR, he balances out all the journeymen @Higgins and @Stargazer included in our squad.

It was a franchise deal, like Ben May for the Canes and Magpies ... but I assume BBBRs missus would have dropped him immediately if he'd actually dared pull on that jumper.

We could have had Meads, McCaw, Jones and Carter (and Jesus - maori and otherwise) in the Ta$man team - and still the votes would have poured in against us!

Unsurprising, as you've only been an Invitational XV for a few years, you don't have the long term depth. You do have 20 Super players in your current squad though, amazing that a non franchise base can pull that kind of squad together, so kudos for that.
