Will the Cantabs find Palmerston North an exciting distraction?

It's just a smaller version of Chch so I'm sure things wont bother them too much.

I can't vote on this one, I want them both to lose equally (yeah, I know that's not how we're voting on but selecting Canterbury for anything positive just seems dirty).

It is dirty but sometimes there are hard decisions to make and your Viking friends through the gorge need your support

Not going to happen. I'm going to get held up heading to the polls on this one.

These two line ups are a lot closer than you would imagine when you first think of matching the two provinces up. Manawatu win the front row. Canterbury the second and the loosies (just) 9/10 is evens not much in the outside backs either.

Exactly the same thought. Individual players versing the relative success of the teams. Not so obvious when you see the names.

              Still went Canterbury though, just.

@Snowy I'm still pondering. Obviously Red n black and going to win at a canter πŸ™‚ but I have a sneaking suspicion Manawatu in Palmie could do it.

A round robin would have been interesting. I reckon this Poo side are top 4.

I would have liked a round robin as well but would have gone in far too long

One of those games that you would be confident the Cantabs would win 9 times out of 10, and the margin would be about 6-10 points.

Palmy puts on a grey and windy day for this one, nominally 15 degrees, but down to 3 after the gale force wind chill.

Lots of spectators show up to fill up the 3k capacity of the showgrounds, most of them here for the stock cars the night before so don't know much about the rugger, but they eat the battered savs and cheer loudly anyway.

Manawatu front row shove the ball up their jumper and pick and go their way to territorial dominance. A last minute penalty for repeat infringements at the ruck session a 3-0 win to the green and white.

not true, sometimes we have torrential rain instead

                                Agree with your assessment 100%

                                Going to extra time!

Have to have a deeper think about the winner.
