@antipodean doesn’t Cane play for BOP..?.i guess it’s how well they gel, but really and truthfully apart from the opening minutes, they were well beaten by Waikato ..

You're inferring what isn't implied. The spanking would be understandable if they were playing against world's greatest openside.

I enjoyed that. I was worried Waikato was going to pay for Luke being too conservative taking penalties.
DMac and ALB's first win in a while.
Thomson looked really old and slow when TJP and Savea skinned him from the scrum.

It was a poor reaction and Waenga being in the way didn’t help either.
Don’t know the stats but Thomson seemed to be the go to at the LO

@ACT-Crusader The problem with Thomson is that he should be playing lock but the scrum struggled against Taranaki when he was there. It will be interesting what happens when Messam is available.
I will give Thomson credit for his try. Great hands.
I am happy with both Waikato halfbacks on debut. They offer something different.
