See above. Edit: Whoops, you've seen above. Disregard.

@Yeetyaah he’s in the box seat now
-
He was looking fakatava , no eyes for anyone else or the ball...he’s gone
You can see the realisation in his eyes when the other guy come flying in

The Bay halfback was probably more of a factor in the fall. The Otago player did try and halt his momentum when he realised the other Bay player had jumped.

@ACT-Crusader nah that's bullshit, no eyes on the ball. Reckless as hell.

Wtf is Dixon going on about and why wouldn't he stop?
Dixon should be reminded he's not playing soccer.
YC seems fair.

think the ref was pretty clear, tipped by own player, reckless play by Otago and still a card, if he landed on his head different, but he didn't according to how they saw and explained it. Think Ash just wanted straight red

I think that’s all correct but missing he still has realisability to protect the player isn’t he air, if he’d been watching the ball and gone up himself it might have been different

He probably thought the Bay halfback was going to take it. He was in position to do it. But the fullback came flying in.
All within his right to do.
I don’t disagree with the YC. It was more an unfortunate one in my book.

How was that lineout throw from Coltman not called..reverse swing
️ -
Its contact with a player in the air, who landed on his head. It's red by the rules, unless you're a coward who doesn't want to make a call in a big game.
Shouldn't be though, cause it's pretty much accidental.
But those are the rules.@reprobate didn't land on his head, no need to get hysterical.

He landed in his shoulder and his head impacted the ground as a direct result, it's red.
Landed on his side. Yep. -
Do we call this a good crowd or a shit crowd for first defense? I think it’s fucking rubbish. Glad to see Hawkes win it as I bet a good crowd fronts up for their first defense.
Come on the Hawkes! Come on the Hawkes! Black, white, it’s alright, come on the Hawkes!!
