There's some good players in that Hurricanes pack and the abyss that is the disparity of talent in the halves makes it a close game. Swap the halves and it's a hiding.
Good point about the Canes. I reckon Blackwell will really grow given the opportunity to step up

Congrats to the Blues on the win; it was very close but the strongest team of the final came out on top! Congrats to both teams on making a great battle of it.

I agree in terms of the backline. But the fact that a backrow player as good as Billy Harmon was tonight probably won't be the All Blacks squad on Monday shows you where the current strength of NZ Rugby lies.

I agree in terms of the backline. But the fact that a backrow player as good as Billy Harmon was tonight probably won't be the All Blacks squad on Monday shows you where the current strength of NZ Rugby lies.
We have some great players, and teams like the Highlanders show that the selectors need to cast their net widely. Just awesome.
But that said the Blues power game is the stuff required at international level.

Yeah good fresh injection when a number of the Landers looked out on their feet and all that tackling/defending had taken its toll.

Ruru had a great fast clearance to make that try and Gibson worked hard to be there. Was good play

BUt it says somethign when Ruru comes on and improves the play at 9 (aside form that wild pass, but was under advantage anyway)

Tuipulotu coming back on seemed to calm the team. Coincidence? Might have been a lucky break for the coaches to have him come back on.
@tim bit silly to take him off in the first place IMO.
