Plumtree is talking up Savea as a no.8 again, mentioning his ball-carrying as a big strength of his. I am assuming that points to him playing there against Wales rather than at 7. So that would mean Ioane at 6 and Blackadder at 7. Jacobson on the bench. Maybe Papalii slots in at openside if they think he is back to near 100%.

It's really only the loose forward combo, who starts at 1st 5 and the right winger that is up for grabs. I am predicting that Mo'unga starts as he has a combination with Havili. Reece or Jordan. The reserves might be more interesting, particularly hooker and the backs.

Blackadder and Ioane travelled to Wales early. So I think the trio you mentioned was pencilled in a while ago

This will be BB’s 100th AB game. It shouldn’t matter, but I suspect they’ll start him

World number 1 again if we win 😜

I've been to Hereford twice, one fun (marine counter terrorism in a lynx), one not so much (resistance to interrogation training) - would be a good trip for ABs

(NB "counter terrorism" is a pretty good description of the state of the kitchen after I've been cooking there, according to her indoors).

Is it better to be replaced in your 100th test or come on to the applause of the crowd? Unless little brother takes one for the team. πŸ™‚

Jordie needs to take all the goal kicks. No mucking about. The guy has had a rough deal last year or two from the management.

Sheesh, put the violins away, he's played nearly every test in the past two years. But agree, he should take the kicks. He's the best of an, compared with what we're used to, average bunch.

Jordie. DMac, Ritchie & then BB in that order for me.

@mn5 doesn't believe the weight mentioned for Blackadder.
I joke it may be due to his sizable jaw, and provide a picture.
@mn5 then says he never really looked at jaw IN THE PICTURE!

Maybe I'd have got somewhere if I said Blackadder is a fine test player for the West Indies and one can tell by the size of his guns?

It will be anything but a walkover and could be a great game to watch.

In some ways, I wouldn't be gutted if Wales won.* They play an attractive style of Rugby, the fans are knowledgeable and great post-match company and there seems less of the tribalism and bullshit you can get from other countries.

It will be anything but a walkover and could be a great game to watch.

In some ways, I wouldn't be gutted if Wales won.* They play an attractive style of Rugby, the fans are knowledgeable and great post-match company and there seems less of the tribalism and bullshit you can get from other countries.

Wales fans are different class to everyone apart from the Scots, French and Japanese. I like most of their players too.

I was happy to congratulate the Irish I worked with after Chicago for a well-deserved win and they were grace personified, but some of the Irish media commentators and comments from their players indicated they were classless fluffybunnies
