agree with the comms in that the Blues bench added to their efforts...

looke dlike a forward pass there, Smith to Smith

-

33-31 with 2 mins to go...Highlanders with a BP from that, or is it?

-

Gibson with the winning t/o...?

good first outing for Tana's team.

So do the Highlanders get 2 BP for 4 tries and within 7 still?

I thought it was, my mate thought it wasn't - we weren't cheering for one side or the other in this match. One of the 50/50s.

Wow. The Landers would've won it if Parker had just kicked over what looked like a fairly easy penalty. Still wouldn't have deserved it though, as all they could do for most of the second half was tackle, gift the Blues the ball and infringe.

Good game and good win by the Blues.

Happy for Tana,

I think there will be a massive sigh of relief to start his career with a win , given the recent history with the Blues

No, for a bonus point you need to score 3 tries more than the opponent. Or lose by 7 or fewer points.

In theory, a losing team could get two bonus points, if the winner gets its score by kicking penalties.

Blues would've won if West didn't miss those 2 penalties from out in front

It was good see the players who dominated in school rugby from not long ago starting to step up.. Goes to show how young this team is..

Enjoyed that game way more than I expected - thought it would be error-strewn and cagey but both teams looked good and the pace of the game was right up there.

Gibson - what a prospect.

Couldn't agree more, he looked bloody good last year and continues to show promise.
