    France XV:

Melvyn Jaminet; Yoram Moefana, Gael Fickou, Jonathan Danty, Gabin Villière; Romain Ntamack, Antoine Dupont (captain)

Cyril Baille, Julian Marchand, Uini Atonio, Cameron Woki, Paul Willemse, Francois Cros, Anthony Jelonch, Gregory Alldritt

    Replacements:
Peato Mauvaka, Jean-Baptiste Gros, Mohamed Haouas, Thibaud Flament, Dylan Cretin
Maxime Lucu, Thomas Ramos, Matthis Lebel

Dupont passes late fitness test to start

Word on the street is Pivac to name Seb Davies, Josh Navidi and Taulupe Faletau as Welsh backrow

    Has he lost the plot?

    @mikethesnow

That's a good French side. Good luck!

Maybe Pivac has been taking back row selection lessons from Eddie?

Yep, if correct looks more like 2 6s and an 8

And if Morgan is preferred to Basham on the bench then Pivac really has lost the plot

Hopefully Davies to second row and Moriarty and Basham on the bench

    I see Pivac’s 2 6s and an 8 and raise it with Eddie’s 3 8s

    I really don't understand Pivac's thinking

Elias continually being rewarded for mediocrity

    No Leon Brown

Whilst Navidi has played 7 for Wales he's one game back from a long layoff; Faletau is two games back; and Seb Davies has had very little rugby this Spring, and not in the back row

Basham has been our best forward this campaign and is the in-form 7 and doesn't make the 23

And we're playing arguably the most mobile second and back row forwards in the competition

Tompkins has been our best back this campaign and doesn't make the 23

    We're going to get hammered

    France by 17-23

    Edit
    Tompkins has concussion

If Basham is fit, that selection is madness. No Wyn Jones starting - WTF? Francis really shouldn’t be playing after that knock he took against England. Player welfare?

Penaud tests positive for COVID ahead of Wales

Penaud tests positive for COVID ahead of Wales

France duo Romain Taofifenua and Damian Penaud have tested positive for COVID-19, forcing coach Fabien Galthie to make changes from the team who beat Scotland two weeks ago.

Fickou probably my favourite player to watch at the moment. He's on some tear.

Re Basham. Did you see Squidge's take on the game? Whilst he seems a fan of bash he was critiquing his ruck play or non play being more to the point. In the examples he showed he may have a point but I'm loath to trust three highlighted incidents over several games.

And also England after 2 phases. Real time, you could see they had an awful attack. Once it's pointed out, there is no structure. Bizarre for England to try and play that way, they're not a play what you see in front of you team.

The way France work that inside space with their short handling and angles. Delicious.
