      It really is a mystery. You'd think a local journo would ask the question unless maybe they know the answer but aren't putting it out there.

      Edit: had a read of the comments on the Canes FB page under the team naming post to see if any clues came through. Unless someone is moderating any 'news' about PUJ everyone seems to be as perplexed as the fans on here.

      @crucial
      The Canes fan base seems to be getting more annoyed week by week, but I don't think anyone at the Canes cares to be honest.

          Can you imagine the yelling and screaming if the Yellows were forced to play R. Prinsep in compensation should Mr. Howden be selected to play for the Hurricanes.

            And here it is:

            alt text

            Unbelievable, the Plodder is starting at 6 again - Perenara was awful last week, he was stuffing around looking at the ball at the base of the rucks instead of trying to fire the it out as quick as possible... Proctor shouldn't be at 13, O'Sullivan should have his spot{our best midfield combo would have to be Umaga-Jensen/O'Sulivan} & prefer J.Barret at 15, also J.Savea has a really poor work rate, amazing Rayasi isn't playing in his position.
            Love is a better 10 than fullback.
            Think someone on TSF said Holland might be signing up with a team in the UK, certainly hope that is the case.

            Jason Holland's obviously been to the Ian Foster school of backs selections being as erratic & inconsistent as possible. Holland making it pretty hard for the Hurricanes backline to develop cohesion.

            Yeah, making too many changes every game & playing players out of position makes it very difficult to get good cohesion going.

              Really rate Walker-Leawere, he'll add some real grunt to our scrum when he returns.

                Has to win at selection roulette first.

                  Yeah, pretty difficult for any of the players to nail down a spot with all this musical chairs stuff going on... Perenara needs a big game, has to show much more urgency than that pathetic so called effort of his last week.

                      Not complaining he’s on the bench we need his experience against Poneke, but of course I’d rather he start for the Canes.

                          @bovidae Dyer is probably an improvement, unless he is below required fitness.

                          Is Norris fit? Would prefer him to Moli at loosehead.

                            Norris is not listed as injured. I assume they want to give all the props some minutes so there is a bit of rotation.
