@Crucial It was a tough decision, but I thought I better go to my BIL's 50th in Auckland. 😉

Looking forward to the game, and I don't trust the Tahs to go quietly!

If you like stats, the Chiefs have never lost a playoff game at home (small sample size). Their away record is very good this year so they wouldn't be daunted with a SF in Chch.

Law of small samples/numbers effectively means we are now fucked. I'm going to blame you too 🙂

@gt12 I'm more comfortable playing NSW than the Hurricanes (or any NZ derby). Of course the Chiefs will need to step up their performance to win because NSW are much-improved. Let's see what team is selected.

Chiefs co-captain Sam Cane is set to miss Saturday’s Super Rugby Pacific quarterfinal against the Waratahs, as he sits out a second week with a knee injury.

The All Blacks skipper sat out much of Tuesday’s training, and while assistant coach David Hill wasn’t ruling the veteran openside flanker out, it’s understood he will indeed be sidelined for the match at FMG Stadium Waikato (4.35pm kickoff).

@KiwiMurph That knee injury was the result of actions that should have at least been a penalty.

The same starting forward pack and reserves then.

Brynn Hall is picking this one for a potential upset.

I don't know why but I can't help but think the Chiefs have not played like they are the 3rd best side in the comp. Full credit to the team for getting the points but they have not really hit their straps

                                  Not for 80 minutes, no.
When they get going though they are good.
I think the forced use of Ioane at 15 could be an unplanned master stroke though. I have been surprised that we haven’t seen Reihana there but we aren’t party to what goes on elsewhere.
Nothing wrong with the forwards and QT and Poihipi together provide good punch in the midfield. Creative play from the back three is what has been missing.

I would prefer to put Nankivell back at centre and move Poihipi to the bench. Lowe and Narawa on the wings.

Crazy to think it's the first home playoff since 2013. Just got my tickets bloody excited hopefully the boys pop off.
