SF Blues v Brumbies

Hope the Blues win... then we will have two teams that will play positive rugby when it's on to do so in the final, whether that's against the Crusaders or Chiefs.

Another old Blues v Brumbies match
This one is from 2012. The Blues had a horror run with injuries (I remember something like 11 locks injured?). So the season was a disaster. This game was about the Brumbies building momentum into the playoffs there wasn't even a question that they wouldn't make it
The Blues injuries had eased slightly by this stage of the season and Piutau was in great form.

@Duluth odd to do the locks the way they have!!
Woulda thought starting Luke with Josh would be the way to go, or maybe they just think Ofa was the issue last week, not the guys pushing him?

They seem to like finishing with Romano?
My concerns are a lack of obvious openside cover (Akira probably plays 7 if Choat gets injured).
Also I'm a little nervous about Tua on the bench. Unfortunately there's no other choice with Plummer, Heem, Tele'a & Evans injured who all would've been on the bench ahead of him -

Yeah the 23 make-up certainly makes for some interesting reshuffling if any new injuries occur.

Won't take much for some cards to fall the wrong way (eg losing two loose forwards).

Red or Yellow?

Regular skipper Dalton Papalii misses a second straight match after his appendix removal, while All Blacks wing Caleb Clarke remains out of the mix while he works back from a hamstring strain. Both are considered chances to play next week should the Blues win through to their first full Super Rugby final since 2003.
-
Loosies Akira Ioane and Hoskins Sotutu were superb in the quarterfinal win, and will again be joined by Adrian Choat, the only Blues player to be named in every game this season which is a testament to his resilience.
16 matches. This will be his 6th start, 10 games as a sub
I'm sure that's a lot more game time than he was expecting

How are the ticket sales looking for this?
My gut says not great. Weather in Auckland this week is horrendous and an Aussie opponent isn't going to push tickets as well.
That’s a bugger

Look at these Blues already thinking about next week

This is going to be an intriguing game. The Brumbies are no slugs and I am looking at this Blues team and thinking the Brumbies have the edge in experience. Barrett is going to be pivotal!

Robinson should be ok at lock with Goodhue beside him and Laulala at 3.
Tua makes me nervous but he is a big body which could be useful in the conditions if he gets on the field.

Should definitely provide some punch
