YC were critical - 14-7 vs 21-0 I think.

Auckland forwards looked good when they got a chance. Arguably the most improtant game of the season

Harbour can get a very competitive XV on the field. Just lacking the depth of a few other sides. I think their season will depend on how many injuries they have

Auckland uses Zarn at first receiver more than the Blues do. I thought the ball went through Plummers hands quicker than normal now he’s playing outside Funaki

Really hope Jock gets a good amount of game time in the midweek game or next weekend. He’ll offer more off the bench than Hickey

Forwards looked slightly off in general play despite some good performances (Gibson, Vikena, Hodgman). Hopefully that comes right over the next few games.

I like the look of AJ Lam at centre as well and hope his injury isn't serious as I don't want to see Hickey and Plummer at 10 and 12 like we have seen in the past with Evans pushing out 1.

The forwards looked a bit rusty early on but settled in as the game went on. The rolling maul looked nice thats for sure.

Hard to say whether we have a title winning side or not, but there's plenty to work with. I think we'll get better as the season goes on.
