Lots of whingeing about the ref on social media; then RugbyPass posts this.

I find it odd than NZ rugby owns (or owned) a piece of RugbyPass yet they continually troll SH rugby.

@Nepia Many/mostly NH writers. I assume the same with editors.

Up to 28 minutes and Wayne has just penalised France for offside, despite not interrupting the ball, because Aldritt advanced while FdK was rolling the ball back with his hands and feet for a few seconds.

This shit has to stop, absolute bollocks.

@Bones and yet one later in the game is the opposite, the guy touches (literally touches and then realises, returns onside) the 9 while ball still in and isnt pinged.

SA were unlucky, as they did so well to fight their way back.

On Barnes, I can't believe he allowed Woki to do what he did at the back of those centipede rucks. You can't be bound if you are using both hands to support your own body weight. It's becoming ridiculous.

France will be a different team without Dupont.

So, France are now at 12 wins in a row, pretty impressive considering the teams they have played in that run. Are they a chance at beating the record and winning the World Cup?

Well, in fairness, all their big wins have been at home. During the Summer tours they didn't play away to any of the top teams so that winning streak is a bit skewed in my opinion.

And they also played against the Wallabies, who apparently are rubbish which means the ABs will become rubbish….

The Boks aren't good enough to carry both Willemse and Le Roux.

That PSTD red card is a fucking joke. This sport has gone to the fucking dogs.

He is trying to stand up and his own player pushes him into the ruck for god sake.

The World Cup is going to be wheel of fortune.

Home ground advantage is counting for a lot.
Luckily for France, they also have it at the World Cup.
                      Valiant effort by the Boks.

In my view, the turning point was Faf de Klerk being replaced. He was marshaling his forwards brilliantly until then. His box kicks put a lot of pressure on the French team. Cobus Reinach was not as influential when he came in. From now on, the Springboks started to fade.

Looking at PSDT red a big contributor was Kwagga giving him and De Allende a shove. I suspect PDST (and DA) were pushed off balance and fell forward.

Barnes has previous given yellows for same (to the pusher in lieu of the pushee).

Not so sure. Looking at the replay, for me the push, such as it was, had little impact. PSDT was already on his way at a rate of knots.

If you lose your balance and try regain it it is common to lurch forward almost involuntarily.

I just don’t think the outcome of nutting Danty in face was his intention.

                                  Definitely a card.

I just don’t think the outcome of nutting Danty in face was his intention.
                                      Definitely a card.

Looked intentional to me, and there's no need for it. No need to get his Danties in a twist.

Not to me. Having now rewatched a few times it seems to me the big issue was De Allende and PSDT steaming in in parallel. Danty lurches left to avoid DA which puts his head in line with PDST's head.

I hope World Rugby thinks about amending the Laws in respect of such parallel/double cleans, because they are an accident waiting to happen (again).

ok I saw another angle, not so clear. But someone had to be sent off.
