Gatland turning over an old leaf. One or two adventurous selections but back to the tried and tested in the main.

Yeah. I admit that I don’t follow how these guys are going but there seems to be a lot of names that have been around for a long time. Are they really the best that Wales have and, if so, where are the new players knocking on the door?

        Halfpenny might be out

Williams in but he hasn’t trained

        LRZ injured

Tompkins dropped, which is fucking crazy

        Expecting a 20 point drubbing

Ireland don’t tend to rack up massive margins even when they dominate

The players are who they are. Let’s see what game plan they have. No pressure at all.

Same players, same coach, I wouldn’t expect too many surprises.

mainly because their backline is little more than "solid" so they find it hard to capitalise on opportunities.

Ireland are current Raeburn Shield holders too so that is on the line in this match.

Good to see the young fella get another start. He looked like a real test prospect last year. Let’s hope he sees some ball.

Looking forward to this WE and the 6N kicking off. Be interesting to see England & Wales go this year and whether Italy can kick on from their form of last year.

Think Wales could surprise Ireland. Seems to me they are only a few top inches away from being a bloody competitive team.

Oh, and the WRU have banned Delilah being sung by the choir - it's a toxic song now apparently. Good to know the WRU have their priorities sorted....

Hasn't stopped them playing Max Bloody Boyce's song "9-3" about Llanelli beating the AB's in '72 though, has it?

the term "virtue signalling" gets thrown around a lot

but this is a textbook version, with a bit of "see we're not bad" thrown in. Given the reports coming out around the culture at WRU this right here is the worst version of crack papering i have ever seen.

I think that's ingenious. We have a problem within our organisation so we've addressed it by banning people not in the organisation from singing a song.

the term "virtue signalling" gets thrown around a lot

but this is a textbook version, with a bit of "see we're not bad" thrown in. Given the reports coming out around the culture at WRU this right here is the worst version of crack papering i have ever seen.

There are few modern words i hate more than "problematic"

When the full and real account of events comes out, you and everyone else will be shocked

I'm assuming that "Where the wild roses grow' and 'Hey Joe' won't make the song list either. Nor 'Maxwells Silver Hammer'.
Maybe as 'Janies got a gun' is about retribution for a molester it could fit in?
