England v Italy 6 Nations

Cant understand the logic Doleman is using. England are clearly sealing off as well.
-
England comms talking up the team into world-beaters.

Very first play of the game had Genge crawling into the breakdown then lying down, just like in Ireland/France yesterday. At least both sides were ignored then.

Italy away from home are a different prospect.
They really need to shore up that defence. Looks porous and weak. Need also to adapt to referees rulings. -
Bit one-sided with England dominating upfront
Padovani having a blinder on defence

Not a patch on the other two games thus far.

That was horrible driving maul defence from Italy. Non-existent. Can they fix that in seven months?

I'd focus more on not running backward when they have the ball.

Great enthusiasm and energy from England, but it just looks like a training run for them. Even when they mess up and throw the ball backwards ten metres to no one, they can just canter back, pick it up and run back to where they were.
@Bones yeah it's a very Borthwick no-nonsense type of approach. Beat them up in the forwards. Win the collisions. Keep the discipline. Keep it simple Nothing flashy.

Makes you wonder why he tried Smith last week at 10. Much more suited to Farrell at 10.

Probbly the best approach considering only a few months to RWC2023
