The ref didn't say that though. He said he had two movements, which I don't think was correct. He was tackled and then reached out. If he propelled himself with his knees, that is different.

Some strange refereeing decisions, or at least explanations. Has he just ruled a deliberate knock down for knocking the ball out of someone's hands, or was the penalty for diving over a ruck after the ball is out?

@hydro11 maybe listen to the ref as he says
"You can't dive over the ruck to slap the ball."

Thanks. I don't really see how either is a penalty. Surely you can go over a ruck once the ball is out (it is no longer a ruck) and I have never seen a deliberate knock on ruled when someone else is actually carrying a ball.

I heard it but later he said it was a deliberate knock-on and that the ball was already out. Can you really not dive over a ruck when the ruck is already over?
