D’Angelo is a 1st 5 though and he’s on the bench. I’m pretty sure he’s played fullback too.

Yes, he's a 10/12. Leuila did play at fullback in a game for MP last year, but is less suited to that position. Like the other teams, Mauger is giving all his squad a run.

Happy with Lakai being given another game at 7 with savea at 8, the locking combo of IWL and Bird, Flanders being given time at 6 (he will never be an AB but is a very skillful player) and Naholo another game on the wing. And the combo of Roigard and Cameron has been kept
Mysteries is why is Higgins not starting at 2nd 5. Not even in the reserves. This is odd after having such a good NPC and looking so promising. It would ahve been so easy to give Savea a rest and Higgins either starting or a reserve
And it seems that PRS is on the outer now

Don’t think theyd be taking this game lightly. Well they shouldn’t, these are the games we really need to win. Pretty sure this is what the line up would look like, Defs would be resting Lomax. Given blackwells recent performances Bird would get the nod. Ardie will stay, with Flanders, Lakai would get another go.

@Winger I don't think PUJ will get much gametime when he returns either.
No need to rush Higgins, I just thought this week's game would have been an ideal time to rest Proctor and give him some proper minutes while Jordie was away.
Still a solid team, definitely giving MP respect after last year's result. If we dominate the set piece (a learning from last year's loss), we should come away with maximum points.

He's been a consistent food bill for the Canes. Apart from that one game last year, hasn't he been injured for 2 seasons? (excluding this season so far).

Hurricanes are good at picking players that fall into that category joining Christian Lloyd, Geoff Cridge and Hugh Renton in that category.
