It occurred to me overnight, you probably couldn't find a player more similar to Connie than this season's McLeod.

@Jailbreak7 small sample size, but like a young Taukieaho.

Having not seen or heard of him before , when he came on I thought the Crusaders had pinched someone from Melbourne club footy at the last minute to cover for Taylor. He doesn't have the professional footy player body shape just yet.

He has been through the academy system at Counties. Made the step up from club footy to Counties last year. He played 8 games off the bench last year, scoring 3 tries similar to the one he scored. With the Crusaders call up it will be his first year being fully professional.

@mikedogz I chuckled when I saw him galloping into space in broken play. Such a low centre of gravity aye.
Bench firepower unashamedly won that for the Saders. Some really good cameos and deft touches from the likes of Moananu, McLeod and Goodhue. And the subbing of Drummond who was a real handbrake.

I reckon the yellow card played a big part too. I hate yellows, not sure if I have ever mentioned that.

@Crazy-Horse probably not something you'd want to say out loud mate, it's a sensitive world we live in.

Brewis was also very good when he came in, while Moody was pretty anonymous. The latter scrummed well though.
