That maul was allowed to stagnate for a long time.
Still does my head in that the maul is so bloody hard to defend, yet the defence doesn’t have to stop it once, but twice.
Rule needs changing, one crack, then use it or lose it.

Agreed should be in constant motion forward otherwise use it.

I really felt game was for the taking for the Chiefs in the first 5 - 7mins this half..... and now the tide of decisions starts to turn the Saders ways

What infuriates me is you can never know when Gardner is going to enforce a law. Go off your feet until he penalises you, then immediately go back to doing it.

Gardiner in particular seems to almost "even it up" in a lot of the games he refs.... in general he is one of the better ones in SRP ... but hey that is not saying much

Just seems to find that little bit of space others don't. Looks to create something for those around him too. (Which is rare in NZ 13s these days)

Angus the Crusaders are not perfect aye, even if they have thr ball they aren't allowed to dive off their feet at the ruck.
