@Chris-B Fozzy sees Jordan as probably our key attacking weapon, probably why he has been rested so much.

I believe this post earns a "Turn it up!"

Quite a few other attacking options in that AB backline.

@Kirwan I can understand that his defence maybe be the most questionable aspect of his game, in terms of pure gamebreaking ability, he is pretty much unsurpassed. It was a very tactical decision to rest him for so much of last season, in particular the EOYT. Had he toured we would probably have gone through unbeaten and had a target on our heads. The only reason he hasn't been up for player of the year is purely based on timing. Dude is an absolute weapon. Also nice to see him assisting Macca's development, who also looks promising.

We did go through EOYT unbeaten. Didn't lose.

Jordan had Covid which is why he missed Ireland test 1 and then an inner ear issue forced him to miss the End of Year tour (and hasn't played until last week). In what world is that tactical?

@KiwiMurph I wasn't referring to the Irish test however that still confirms my view on timing is the only reason he hasn't won a player of the year award. Technically we may have gone through unbeaten, that draw against England really would have put a dampener on the tour, it would be foolish to say otherwise.

@SBW1 So what was tactical about Jordan missing the EOYT? Fozzie would rather go under the radar than play Jordan?

Presumably Crusaders have been in on this tactical rest plan too whilst losing to the Chiefs twice without Jordan?

My head is spinning trying to keep up with this.

@Chris The latest loss was still a big improvement from the opening round when they were smashed at home. Saders could have easily won, they were in it for a good portion of that game. Crusaders have had a bit of a patchy season and have had to deal with a lot of injuries. Fortuneately they are getting players back on the paddock and playing into a bit of form. Would be really good to secure home finals, that would be a big boost. Yes they have been deliberately resting their players in many instances.

The winner of this game against the Blues will probably secure 2nd place and a home QF and SF especially if the Chiefs can knock over the Brumbies in Canberra.

List of injured players this season is vast 3/4 of the squad has been injured for at least 3 games during the season so far.

At least Williams injury is not a bad one from the Force game.

Brewis and Whitelock should be back for this weekend.

@nostrildamus The game against the Blues will be interesting for sure. He is still playing his way back into form, would be really happy to see Macca Springer emerge to be of a similar caliber. When looking at a highlights reel of Will Jordan some of his tries are quite freakish.
