I'm a believer in the importance of points just before/just after the break.

To me points during that time add to energy, momentum and scoreboard pressure.

If you feel like you've dominated a half but concede around half-time that's a big bounce for the other time.

Conversely if you feel like you are in the game but then concede it can be a backbreaking.

In both instances the score may not reflect the game up until that point.

Going to go against the grain and call a very narrow Tahs win, especially if the weather is rubbish

      See your neurologist.

Tahs at $7 is ridiculous, but the bookies know they won't have to pay it.

Tahs should start favourites, they not only have the greatest Aussie openside (better than Georgie) but the best openside the world has seen in the last 40 years.

But is it worse than conceding in the first 5 minutes? That's a heart-breaker too.

As said above, if having the opponent score at a particular time is the losing of the game, then the team has mental issues.

My personal observation is that the worst time to be scored against is when you have just scored yourself. All that effort, then immediately nullified!

        =================

It's not just rugby has these "magical" times. Golf has "moving day".

I once did a statistical breakdown of a gold tournament, just to look. The players that did best on day 3 didn't do best overall. It just seemed like it, because the much thinner fields by then made a couple of birdies more noticeable.

Every golf shot is worth exactly the same (except match play, of course). There is no magical day that is most important.

Late changes to the Waratahs line-up:

They have made several late changes, with Tane Edmed starting at flyhalf. It pushes Ben Donaldson to fullback and Mark Nawaqanitawase to the winger whilst Izaia Perese partners Joey Walton in the centres as Lalakai Foketi moves to the bench.

In the forwards, Nephi Leatigaga starts at tight-head prop, with Tolu Latu, Dan Botha and Hugh Sinclair coming onto the bench.

A bit dodgy this. No way all these changes are injury enforced.

@Machpants No, there are rules around team announcements, and when those need to happen.

Here's the highlights of that match in 2009 that the Tahs won at Eden Park (27-22)

                    Halangahu was prominent
