I don't understand that at all. The ball was passed behind the dummy runner and taken outside his right shoulder. Ireland are the absolute masters of that.

I really hate the inconsistency in refereeing in rugby. Takes so much away from the game.

You don't get to take out defenders and that was pretty blatant. I just wish refs saw Ireland do this all the time.

It’s amazing how often the ‘inconsistencies’ in international Rugby favour the wealthy nations who the sponsors want to win.

Uruguay have been fantastic to be honest, some blatant infringing but you can't blame them for pushing the boundaries a little.
Shame that try for the 10 was overturned.

I like how Uruguay attack the breakdown. You can see their sevens influence.

The obstruction was obvious in realtime. Their centre would have been OK if he ran that line but stopped instead of initiating the contact.

@antipodean They are. Constantly. Just flopping over the ball at rucks too.

Ireland "dummy runners" have been a bug bear of mine for the last 6 or 7 years.

So Tom Curry gets a red in the 3rd minute followed by a further 3 game ban for what could be argued was an accident and the French lock gets 10 minutes only for that.........make it make sense.

The game is a fucking joke.

Either the head is sacrosanct or it is not.
