RWC SF: England v Springboks

Probably only a matter of time before he uses carrier pigeons.

@Catogrande didn’t world rugby change the laws to stop coaches from being the water carriers?
Now he uses his micced up medical team and physios to loiter around play shouting out tactical instructions that the coaches observe from on high. NFL meets rugby. No wonder the Boks want to slow the game down. They want their 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th downs

You have to hand it to Rassie and Nienaber, they totally think outside the box. They push the boundaries constantly. Constantly seeking the edge to give their team maximum advantage. The fact that people are questioning the way the HIA process and whether the Boks abuse it is testament to them both. Neither of them care about their legacy. That is what other people write. They care about winning, as that is what is ultimately remembered. For good or for bad.

Geez even we were doing that a decade ago in like level 6 club rugby. Even put up scaffolding for the camera to record games which the coach would stand on.

@Rancid-Schnitzel I’m ahead of my time obviously

He has been using lights for probably 10 years now. When you have a specific instruction as coach for example that he definitely wants you to kick for posts, and it’s one colour. If he definitely want you to scrum another. Quick and easy.
-
If the Boks don’t win this and win comfortably, I will be very surprised. If they are able to create any sort of space, they actually have the width game to make England pay on the scoreboard.
If England can control the pace, they might keep it close.
England have always been my second side, so I’ll be cheering for them, but I am feeling not so optimistic about their ability to stop the wave.

Works a treat at under 12s.

@Bones use that a bit at free State then down at the stormers and then nothing for awhile again. Not sure where the plan started or even how well it works. He seems to be using it sporadically Pretty sure it’s not every single decision that requires a light. But I guess his ass is on the line as coach as well so if he really feels they need to do something then you get... The light...

It looks like it is gonna be a sea of Springbok Green in Paris this evening.

Would laugh my fluffybunny off if Rassie's lights ran out of batteries

@Bones quite a lot wrong with the game. Things like this seem quite low level in comparison. Obviously hoping for a Bok win tonight but I’m nervous. I loved him as a player and now as the coach I can honestly say I like him more than I worry about him. Smart human being. Outside of rugby I think he looks like a lot of fun too. Genuinely likeable . Hoping to see you guys in the final

Can’t remember feeling this sick / flat about an England game, maybe because I’m worried how embarrassed we might be. The lack of England shirts on the train platform probably says I’m not alone. Genuinely considering watching Strictly Come Dancing instead
