Selby Rickett went well. Jacomb, Coombes Fabling and Parker looked useful. Not too much else to enthuse about though.

@ARHS Parker made a lot of tackles, but didn't have too many opportunities with the ball in hand (bar one run). Of the newbies, Sititi impressed me. Florence was anonymous. Compared to the Blues, the Chiefs have been lacking dynamic ball runners. Hopefully most of the ABs and other players are back for next Friday. DMac will make a huge difference to the backline but the forwards need to be more physical and accurate at the breakdown, and in their carries.

McMillan will have a big decision to make over the three locks selected in the 23. He might go for size and still use Ah Kuoi as a 6 off the bench. If Ioane is out with concussion then Jacomb will find himself on the bench.

for me it showed what we already knew , thighthead prop is as work on as the two newbies looked raw and after our big three outside backs we are thin.thought josh j looked better than josh i so might work out better if he is injured.had a lot of xtras playing so hopefully next week is better

I think that O'Neill will be the backup TH prop but he went off injured. Less concern on the LH side although Ross didn't start in either game. Having our top two hookers should also help, as both are ball-carriers.
