We'll see what team gets named this afternoon but a larger squad will be taken as the Chiefs will stay in Australia. They play the Reds next round. It would be good if these three are back training too.

Injured All Blacks duo Josh Lord (ankle) and Emoni Narawa (back), as well as Tyrone Thompson (ankle), should be back into team training this week, with their readiness to play to be assessed over the course of the week.

The Brumbies looks really bad last week despite the score

They conceded a mountain of penalties, turned over a lot of ball and missed almost a quarter of their tackles

Maybe they were being half arsed because of the opposition? Still, they need to raise their standards this week

I was actually pretty impressed with the Brumbies. Their re-alignment on defense was impressive, they set out with a plan to make the rucks a shitfight which they did admirably, and their defensive lineout shredded the Rebels (and meant the penalties for the ruck stuff resulted in nothing). They also knw how to get the ball in the hands of their best players.

Whereas the Chiefs i thought were good but not great. We played that attrition game early, but it was super lateral and the Crusaders picked it off. We were weak around the fringes which the Crusaders saw and ruthlessly exploited. Our halfback is glacial. And without DMac to make use of the fatigue we look devoid of ideas (Ioane is so shit). Our alignment was all over the place as well, way way too flat.

I think this will be far closer than you suggest, and a Brumbies victory would not surprise.

The Rebels were abysmal. The worst they have ever been. So the stuff that went well for the Brumbies on attack has an asterisk next to it (like when Toole exposed the fullback being completely out of position)

20 penalties, 15 turnovers conceded and missed 42 tackles. Their standards were low. A very un-Brumbies like performance

Could be. Chiefs gifting multiple soft penalties at the start of the second half was a bad sign. Similar to the Blues v the Drua. They let off the pressure

If the brumbies miss 42 tackles again this week the Chiefs will run up a cricket score, the Chiefs are great finishing off against a broken defensive line and it makes it very easy to break the defensive line if a team just falls off their tackles.

Roe was just horribly slow at clearing the ball from the ruck, you could have written a letter and delivered it to Dmac yourself from the stands by the time Roe gave him the ball from the ruck. I can only but hope he improves this week...

Agree with Selby-Rickett having a shot, Au Kuoi just seems better suited to the impact role and not a starting lock. A fairly predictable team.

Agreed. Reimer should already be a Wallaby

First time I can ever recall it being enforced. Multiple 6+ second rucks since the introduction of that law, and no action from refs.

Now let's see if you'll do it the whole game, Mr Doleman
