It's not hard for most people to be dispassionate and look at what happened to your opposition and ruminate on the impact to a close score line.

Good point, they're a team that does the bare minimum to achieve victory, saving themselves for the final they'll inevitably host.

Only saw bits and pieces but Canes looked clearly the better side
Blues attack is all bash but little else.
Christie is a nightmare to watch - he has a really poor feel for the game - a lot of energy but a lot of it is misdirected.
@KiwiMurph yeah going to be really interesting how TJ pulls up this year. An experienced back up to two young guns is what's required - hopefully Perenara out performs Christie.

Well have to say fellas, waking up today, I still feeling good about game. There was so much to like in how Canes went about the game, and do sense we just maybe getting a good bit of depth? Little bit of worry at 10 (Morgan woories me) but Riley was good at 12 and can play 13, Billy Procor is best 13 in the country, wings are good, Love is playing so bloody well, and with Godfrey and Moorby able to cover there it's good. Forwards are where I most pleased though,tighties look prettty good and loosies are bloody good! 3 good 0s behind that? Will do me! (
I know I know it's early and they can still implode, but as a Canes man I enjoy good times when I can! -

I know I know it's early and they can still implode, but as a Canes man I enjoy good times when I can!The future will take care of itself. But for now, I'm just enjoying the best Canes team I've ever seen.
We had the talent last year but our poor 2 head coaches let the side down. They were clueless and only some great individual talent carried the team through. Too early yet but it shows what a big difference coaches make
Love was poorish for Wellington last year. Now he looks again like a future AB. Moorby and Naholo are playing great rugby too.
Proctor was good last year but better this year. Higgins and Lakai were both almost ignored last year. Lakai started then was dropped completely. Why? There were rumours about Higgins attitude but this was likely a coaching issue
Another big improvement is in the forwards. Thankfully Gibbes decided to step down and Jamie seems to be a better coach than player. We have often had superstar backs but now the forwards look the goods too. I can't remember a better forward pack ever for the Canes
But any way too early to tell but looking good so far.
