Have the Chiefs published their side somewhere?

    I haven't seen anything - slackers. We'll need a screenshot from Sky.

I assume the Barbarians have just come together? That was some disorganised defence

That was sloppy by Taumateine at the back of a retreating scrum. Baabaas get a try

    19-10 Chiefs

It was looking very easy for the Chiefs until then

@Duluth Three days preparation for the Barbarians.

That isn't the starting forward pack I expected with more experienced players like Forbes on the bench.

Salabiau is so dangerous. He was in the NZ U18s sevens team in 2022 and the top try scorer in Waikato club rugby last season. I have been impressed with Farrant too. Naufahu was the player I thought would be brought into the Waikato NPC team last year with all the injuries. He must have been injured himself.

The Taumateine shocker is symptomatic of some of the play at this level - too loose.

    26-10 at HT.

The 2nd half was messy with all the subs from both teams. Forbes made an impact.

A lot of that Chiefs team were at school and playing U18s last year so it will be a step up. Some huge props for that age.
