Tom Allen looks very impressive at lock. Hopefully the Canes sign him up on a full time contract next year. Looks like a big, hard working and skillful lock. Two tries today.

Just finished watching this game. Those that stood out were guys that have been training with the Canes in the off-season. Tom Allen and his brother Rueben were very solid partnering each other at lock. The Bason brothers were awesome at hooker and 8 respectively. Patrick Tuifua was full of energy, aswell as Jack O’Brien and Sam Coles in the backs.
Even without starting props in Newland / Wallace the Canes were solid upfront.
