FT Score: Chiefs 24-22

Have to give it to the Sharks defence, they were staunch as hell. Chiefs attack does seem a lot weaker without Ngatai in there though, hope he's back next week.

BBBR, Cane, Leitch and Seu were awesome, Cruden easily the pick of the backs. Wonder if Hames' body is up for starting because fuck did he make an impact to the scrums.

Tried some ill advised one handed off loads. The decision to take him off was pivotal in terms of victory. Well coached Dave Rennie.

That's not right is it? Otherwise we wouldn't see penalties for offside when a player knocks on and one in front picks it up. Or for holding on the ground after a knock on.

yeah but I was talking about the other team infringing, so team A knocks on and team B commits a penalisable offence under advantage = knock on

Cane's second half was superb. Thought his first half he was fairly anonymous.

                  Clash of styles there.

Sharky's D was awesome.

To my mind the Chiefs had the better of the game and deserved the points. But the D gave the Sharks a chance.

Not sure i ejoyed the match though. Thought the Chiefs were a little sloppy right across the park.

Some poor kicking and handling by the Chiefs allowed the Sharks defence the chance to dominate.

I went to this, better crowd than I was expecting, not sure what the attendance was. Except for the first 5 minutes wonderboy did not impress, not a happy ground for him, have memories of his brother easily outshining him in the ITM cup there a couple seasons back.Overall a pretty annoying game to watch, too many stupid errors. This was also compounded with me being tired and not drinking and a drunk feral 'naki fan yelling out all of the following:

"Hey JP how did it feel to lose to Japan?" (Whenever JP was near)

"Your brother is better he won us a championship" (Whenever DMac fucked up)

"Beaudons better, Baeudons better!" (whenever Cruden kicked for goal)

"Hurricanes, hurricanes, hurricanes, hurricanes" (All other times)

The real crime is if I stabbed him in the eye then I'd be the one who'd get kicked out!

Probably the tallest lineout in NZ history.
