I noticed the Blues pack was close to 950kgs on the weekend. Jeez that's heavy. It doesn't seem that long ago we were getting g excited about 900kgs. I wonder how long until packs are regularly 1000kgs?

Yeah that's with Beehre and Riccitelli too...

I think there was ~90 kg difference in the pack weights. That's huge.

Was impressed with us last night. Obviously we've had better performances, but the Drua put us under a bit of pressure in the 2nd half and I thought we handled it very well.

Brumbies compete harder at the breakdown.. They'll be trying their level best to disrupt and slow the Blues ruck ball.

Akira Ioane's calf tightened up. Tuipulotu needs to be evaluated tomorrow. Darry and McWhannell should be available. Heem might be available too.

          We miss Heem's direct lines.

I thought lam was bloody strong, some great tackles and busts

I originally missed the first 15 after HT, but, having now caught up, agree that Lam was defensive rock in that period. Can't recall any big busts in the third quarter.
Akira also a pillar in backline defence during the 15 minutes or so when Drua had lots of ball. Mention also for Ofa, who made more than five tackles close to the ruck during that period.

Plummer looks the goods to me. Robust in defense, kicking out of hand good, and guides the team around nicely. Thinking he would be the ideal back up to Dmac if his game translates to the international level.

              Yeah I'll say it again, I wouldn't be upset with a Plummer/Lam 22/23

Plummer is the find of the season, IMO. He has really stepped up this year and plays with a lot of confidence. Clearly the 2nd best 1st Five in NZ at the moment.

Yeah I thought that too. They could have easily been heavier.

@cgrant on the Breakdown last night Kirwan and Wilson had Perofeta as the third best 10 behind DMac and Beaudy. Fk me, you’d think Kirwan would be pushing for Plummer, he’s been unreal this year. Perofeta has been his usual hot and cold self.

@Canes4life sums Kirwan up. This is the same guy who 'didn't know anything about' Rivez Reihana when talking in the pre-game to round 1 Chiefs Crusaders this year.

Kirwan phoning it in, just like with his coaching.

Would Beaudy even be number 2?

Great to see for the Drua, but Mark really needs to work on punctuation and spaces, I had to read through twice to figure WTF he was attempting to say
