How bad was the Ref missed multiple Auckland knock ons and penalised Wellington off the paddock.

Big forward pass before the last Wellington try. Not sure how Wellington didn’t get a card given all those penalties

That’s NPC refereeing though. It is a step down

      Excellent defense by Wellington

Preston was very impressive. Unsure why he wasn't starting last year and thought their might have been a reason but based on this just poor selecting by Ellison

Higgins was another impressive back. Savea was invisible until eh went off. JGB is a big improvemnet on Morgan but hasn't changed

Plummer stepped up compared to last year in the forwards. Hope he cna keep it up

Auckland with almost as many turnovers as points tells the story here.

Defence wins matches they say and you've gotta take your chances.

            Yep.

Shit defence and no good execution (based on my first half viewing)

Wellington have Auckland, Taranaki and Canterbury to start so that win will take a bit of pressure off.

JGB had a great first half before fading completely during the second. This is really head scratching.
Good game from PUJ. I point this out because he is one of the most reviled players on this forum.

Say what now? You confusing him with Christie/Havili?

Not even the most criticised in this Wellington 23. J Savea and Apisai would be battling for that. Kirifi not far behind

@cgrant how dare you say that about my fellow Wainuiomartian. Let me know next time you come here I’ll bring the torches and pitchforks.
