Byron Smith outplaying Millar so far

I mean, he looks ok but I wouldn’t go that far just yet. I do recall you aren’t a huge Millar fan but for someone who likes both players, they’ve been pretty neck and neck.

Nine players out from the top 23. Makes it hard.

I think he's out of Ponsonby. Read comparisons to Willis Halohalo

Probably better than being compared to Dillon Halahalo...

Hopefully he is more selective around his alone time and where he does it

Should still be 10 super rugby players on the field for Otago though right? Granted some not first choice starters but still super players none the less.

I saw an article on the ODT with Donnelly playing down the super rugby experience in the squad and saying the players are still young. He is correct in saying they are young but IMO, if you have super rugby players they are obviously the better players available in the NPC competition so sort of struggling to see his point and what he was trying to achieve by saying that. The guy is way out of his depth as a head coach.

Taking off where we ended last season, might actually be worse. Can see why Canterbury beat us 47-0.

Super rugby players outplayed by a team with more club players than anything else. Embarrassing.

Pathetic is an understatement. Gilbert fighting people off the ball at the end there. Exactly what you want to see from your skipper... shambolic.

Also saw Abraham Pole having a laugh with one of his Moana team mates with a couple minutes to go while we were trying to get out of our 22….. yikes. Shambolic is probably the best way to put it.

What the f#ck was the game plan?! Sitting here still trying to figure it out…

Think it can both be true that we have a lot of Super Rugby players who should perform better as a unit... I also think it is true that a lot of those Super Rugby players aren't that good, and are part of the reason the Highlanders have been poor.
