    Shame Jacomb isn't going to get much time at ten in SR. Looked a very well composed and accurate player, plus gets brilliant distance off both feet.

    Hilarious the Southland lock that just decided to fall over instead of keep chasing.

    The more I watch, the more I wanna see Jacomb in SR. How many involvements in that try and the setup in the previous sequence?

    Jacomb vs Trask will be a good battle. You can see why Lennox was used as an outside back a few seasons ago when Taranaki had a lot of injuries - he's quick. Very lucky that didn't become a minties moment.

    Did OK. Played about 60 mins and showing more physicality. Sa also won a few of Southland's throws. Taranaki has crazy depth at lock when you consider they have three in the ABs.

    Faletoi Peni looks like the same sized backs we get in Pressies grade here in Wellington he’s a unit.

    @mikey07 was that the 23? I thought they'd done a Rassie bench.

    I go along with you there Bones. I became a bit of a fan of Jacomb last year, being a Naki man, I just started to see what a nicely balanced 10 I thought he was. Couple of times in super he's looked ok, and I think he showing the bit os higher level playing etv reflected in his game this season. There is a reason McMillan at Chiefs played him instead of Ioane at 10 when resting DMac this past season.

    Anyway I enjoyed the game. Obviously pleased with Naki win, but would also add I an happy to see Southland seem to be coming on quite well, and a reasonable size crowd rightfully at game supporting them
