Forbes with one of the worst intercept passes I've seen in a while. 21 - 7 after 24 minutes.

Trask now gifts 7 points to Manawatu. Boys haven't worked out that it's the only attacking play Manawatu has brought to the table.

At the game. Manawatu defence is decidedly average. They always seem too be miscommunicating and in the wrong place.

Viljoen has made some great tackles on the edges. Pity the rest of the team isn't following his example.

TJ doesn't do his homework (re: Joe Johnston). He's played for BOP before Waikato.

I agree with Boss about those ruck penalties. It was obvious in real-time that Sangster took a long reach. You make your own luck though.

@Damo Looks that way on tv too mate. Manawatu look like they forgot to introduce themselves to each other. Feel for that kid at 10 he certainly looking out of hid depth.

21 missed tackles in one half alone speaks volumes about the mentality within the squad.

Reon Paul in front of the kicker followed by clear forward pass by Narawa. Lucky for Manawatu there was a knock on. When you defend like they have been, no calls are going to go your way.

Defence from Manawatu is worse in the second half. More half-assed.

Lands 68 - 14 with Trask unable to make it ten from ten. Bay even set up the 14 points for Manawatu....

Kolose is probably the young hooker next in line for the Chiefs squad. He's part of the Dev team and has the size for SR.

Embarrassing for Manawatū. They produce so much young talent (check out recent Hurricanes U20 squads) but that doesn't convert to the NPC side.
