Still no comms from Super Rugby despite stating that this was launching mid-January. If they can't launch by the time that was promised then I guess our hopes can't be too high for this to be a well-run competition.

The irony of this competition is that it's powered by Genius Sports. Let's hope the tardiness in getting this launched is not a reflection of how well it's eventually run.

My initial thoughts on the setup.
- I appreciate that this is the first year of Fantasy Rugby and the CEO has already said they want to make it simple in the first year, but I feel like they've gone too far.
- They've made it far too easy to pull together a star-studded team with the massive budget you have to play with. I pretty much got all the players I wanted for round 1 into my line-up and still have budget left over. They should make it more difficult to curate a team as that's what makes it challenging.
- Unlimited transfers seems a bit over the top, they should make it so you can only swap a certain amount of players out of your team each round. Again, it adds to the challenge.
- It doesn't specify if a player is currently injured, maybe they'll bring this in next week when teams are announced but that's leaving it a bit late. i.e. guys like Sititi and Darry are available even though we know they aren't.
- Some of the player rankings don't make sense at all. Beauden is capp

The only way to stop that would be to have every player available for every position. But all teams list players in a position they almost never play, like tens that always play 15. Not the game's fault

Yeah the info is pulled from the teams, I guess they shoud implement players being able to be tagged in mulitple positions, esp backs. But it is based on the one position listed by the franchise - as I said not FR fault, just part of rugby not moving with the times when it comes to fan engagement with info.
