What's Tupou supposed to do there? He's not tackling, he gets the player knocked into him. Not foul play.
Nah. Just got to get lower or pull out of it if you think the other tackler has him.
In real time he's on a hiding to nothing - the attacker is literally bounced into him so he has no time to react. What should just be a penalty is turned into a ludicrous YC on review, so a referee deemed too shit to be an AR could upgrade it to a RC.

Carter went off his feet there…..
A room full of Brumbies supporters agreed with you.

Brumbies lineout has been poor.
And leniently ruled by Berry - a number of contested lineouts that should have been penalised he let play despite going to the outside shoulder.

Finau playing well
Stands out when his team is on top.
Other times, not so much.Perhaps his team is on top when he stands out. He had a very good game tonight.

Cracking semi-final
Both teams came to play
As well as Cortez played I thought Roe made a huge difference when he came on

Rugby can be exciting when they aren't playing force back and the ref isn't taking over
That for me is Rugby's biggest problem.
Which young person is ever going to pay to watch three middle-aged blokes have a lengthy conversion about some technicality between themselves while thirty athletes have a breather in the background?
World Rugby are insane if they don't realise that pompous "superstar refs" are killing their product.
Wayne Barnes writing a book tells you all you need to know about the state of the game.

The sport is a fucking joke. Its roulette now.
Cane got a red for that in the RWC final.
If they are really worried about the head, the tackled player should be sent for a HIA.
Are the players still wearing those interactive gum shields?
I havnt heard much chat on that front since ALB-gate.

They have. Players were sent for HIAs based on the data during the match

I hear you......BUT.
Back in the olden days nobody got sent off. A lot of shit got missed or hand waved away but there was a level playing field and to a certain extent the game was self policed (from a thuggery perspective).
The level of pedantry from refs now, only opens them up to accusations of inconsistency and hypocrisy.
If Cane gets red, Kolisi has to get red. Etzebeth has to get red for leading with the elbow etc etc.
I dont mind making the head sacrosanct in principle. Of course the game should be safer.
But there should have been 4 or 5 blokes sent off in the RWC final in that case, not just one.
THATS the problem.

Probably ghostwritten by an offsider.

@gt12 for all the talk of the chiefs lineout being crap, he seems bloody good at getting up quick and a real danger on opposition throw.
Real nuggety player too, would be fascinating to see what he could do in a back five with Vaai, Barrett, Savea, Sititi/Sotutu.

@Jet
Cards are blight on the game
In most cases many of cards that are given out come back with some sort of mitigation which in many cases are accidental
But by then the damage is already with the numerical disadvantage
No wonder support for the game year by year is dwindling -

Ah Kuoi is a fascinating option for an AB jersey - but can he be a lock at that level? I don't think so.
As a 6 though, it is a shame he has had so few chances as he could be a real option - he was just everywhere today.
Caleb Delany is the same. Too many players getting shunted into lock at Super level that have no chance at test level but have potential at 6. Something that might also happen to Haig and Stoddard unfortunately.
