It’s not about the foul play per se, it’s the fact he has received a head knock that has been deemed serious enough for a card to be given.

Post-career head problems are the result of single big hits AND successive smaller ones
If a player cops one to the head that’s deemed YC or RC worthy by the officials then they should be removed from play for an HIA
Otherwise, what’s the point?

Gardner's normally clear with his decisions surprising he didnt explain more clearly penalty was for no arms
