Hilarious fuss being made over the moomoo-zelas.

The dangerous thing about them at a rugby game anywhere except Waiwhakamukau is that if you start banging one of the godawful things, several people will quite likely rightly smack you one.

But Crusaders fans stomp on those scaffold stands all game long, especially when opposing teams are taking kicks at goal!! Dangerous!!!

Let’s ban a handheld bell that will add atmosphere and sound to a dead stadium. Precious cantabs

As someone who doesn't really care who wins, I love the small minded (Rassie level) pettiness being taken by the Saders boss and the inevitable small town hick overreaction by some of the more rabid Chiefs fans.

Hopefully the match is full of spite!!!

I assume that flags will be banned too. You wouldn't want to get your eye poked. 🙄

It’s a funny thing to take the piss.

Any fuckwits actually threatening people over it are a good example of what is wrong with NZ sport culture.

some form of fun in the crowd being banned for spurious reasons?

was this decision made by @Nepia ?

And does this mean he has jumped to his 3rd franchise? If so that bodes well for us, failure follows him.

How am I getting involved in this ... and for that matter what is this?

Also, you know full darn well without me and Dave the Chiefs would still be also rans.

The banter on this thread as a result of the ban has been great fun. People that make death threats over something like this need to be put in a lab and studied, I can't really understand how they get to that point. I suspect their IQ would be substantially lower than the general population.

You're now on my threat list.

@Chris there was a thing on tv1 earlier today about tennis players receiving abuse and threats via social media when they lost, almost half due to gambling, we know Barnes and other refs have received abuse too, sad world out there now for many in the public eye.

Pretty sad making threats like that, but banning them seems a bit OTT to me....

Yeah the world we live in is very different with precious people who get their feelings hurt way to easily and over react.
But it is what it is.

    Welcome to John Gabriel's theory:

To be fair, that’s not something Crusaders fans are very good at

Absolute dribble from someone who admits not enjoying super rugby in the first place in the article lmfao

The weird thing is I wouldn’t have read it if you hadn’t said it was dribble …. My mind is strange.

Tl;dr: writer prefers league over union.

    My reading of it was:
TL;DR: An aussie team should be guaranteed a spot in the final.
ie: an extreme version of the bad old days when each country (AU,NZ,SA) was guaranteed a spot in the top 3 of the table.

Sell out has made the media

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/360729568/super-rugby-pacific-crusaders-v-chiefs-final-christchurch-sells-out

The Crusaders’ last final at Christchurch’s Apollo Projects Stadium has sold out.

The red and blacks host the Chiefs in Saturday night’s Super Rugby Pacific final and said the additional 1300 tickets made available on Thursday had been “instantly snapped up”.

A crowd of about 17,000 will fill the temporary venue
