@Mr-Fish Pollock got the downward pressure.

I'd have to watch again but as I said, it was more that it didn't smell right.

If Pollock hadn't touched it and HMP had gone to ground, I'm confident it would've been ruled that HMP had downwards pressure anyway, which means that regardless of Pollock's hand on the ball, there was downwards pressure from HMP.

Given HMP was the first player to touch the ball, his possession should have taken priority and it should've been ruled that he grounded the ball because he had pressure 'first'.

    I agree

What a letdown this game was. AUNZ looked decent on paper but lacked cohesion.

Defence and the breakdown was the major issue. Kicking was often poor too

Samu was anonymous as a 7 and cleaning rucks. Quite different to the player for UBB as a no.8.

Jones, Joseph and Brown probably would've been a better unit for a one off.

But judging coaching ability off this game is a bit like judging Plummer's ability to play first five at international level off his debut.

Haven't read anything from the thread, but AUNZ No.5 and Frizell were very good. Otherwise, the Lions' juggernaut keeps rolling.

It turns us the AUNZ was a terrible idea. Let's never speak of it again.

It's a great idea, but awfully executed. The best of the home nations couldn't even beat Argentina and they spent weeks in camp as well as being very familiar with each other.

Lukhan Solokaio-Bell rolls off the tongue. Take a leaf out of Angus' book.

The only positives from an NZ perspective were Fakatava's passing looking crisp and accurate, Sotutu and Frizzell both up to the task physically.
For the Aussies, Edmed and LSL.
The others were all varying shades of dogshit.

    Frizells discipline was pretty poor.

Frizell conceded three dumb penalties in the space of about five minutes before being shown a yellow card.

Absolutely inspirational hearing how well the South Africans Tongans Scotsmen played tonight. Bodes brilliantly for the test series.

FIVE Scots will be in the starting line up in the backs. Magnificent and unprecedented

I stopped watching at FT, so did they give an update on the outcome of the Fusitu'a YC?

Just watched. Anzac midfield pretty awful. Bizarre back subs made. Horrid back pass from Fakatava. I guess just nothing clicked for them.
MP don't look to get getting the old Laumape. Looks a bit slow.
The Lions were very clinical and impressive all round.

It was embarrassing how he slowed up when coming across in defence for the Big Saffas try and then he just waved the Aussie-Tongan through for his try.

Well that was embarrassing. Pleased about two issues:

    1. I didn't spend any money going to it.
    2. RA made the decision to make the black element of the jersey as small as possible.
