I think there is a cert issue left to go on that side of things.

We are 80% migrated to a new beefy server, last big hurdle is the DB migration.

I just changed some settings related to the certificate. That might fix it.. it will take a while to propagate though

The bulk email worked well but a lot of accounts (more recent ones) didn't have an email associated with it

Please pass around the updated url to any TSFers you know who don't turn up in the next few days

For example Mauss didn't have an email in his account. Same with a lot of the newer Otago/Highlanders posters

Yeah no issues with the bulk mail out given the circumstances. I assume 'we won't don't this again' has an unspoken 'unless we really have to'.

Didn't the forums also use to use someone's personal domain before the switch to forums.thesilverfern.com? So this makes it the third domain that I've used to get here.

Yeah that was @Kirwan 's

I think it ran like that for about 3 years. It was finally fixed in late 2016

Yeah, it used to run off my own server. That was before cloud really took off, the stuff you can build these days is nuts.

Loads of people would not get the email or it will go to spam. For them they'll get here by

• The url being passed around (please keep passing it around)
• Google search
• Eventually we'll unlock the account and get the old url back and that will redirect

We don't have a time frame on unlocking the account

Google search will help. We are indexed again and are appearing on searches for 'silverfern forum' etc (tested in incognito mode)
There's things we can do to improve the chances of finding us via google. Still working on that
