Also been informed Tuckers is carrying a foot injury, so might see an early shift of Haig to second row and Elton to 6/8
Wonder how this is tracking? A loss of Tucker would be massive. Even as it stands Canterbury have a better right five. With the injuries they have in the loose - we have a better trio. Swapping Tucker out loses height and go forward. He is awesome at this level. Could be an opportunity to chuck Tengblad on the bench.
The biggest match up is between Chapman and Pledger.

Afraid that’s all I know. Think they’re going to see how many minutes they can get out of him. But if it ends up being 4-5 weeks out if it gets worse, that’s a big loss for play off time

Otago made hard work of that ... I wouldn't call 18 phases in 5m clinical... persistent and accurate... but not clinical

The likes of Millar and Haig really haven't kicked on have they.
If anything they look worse
Tend to agree....
Pledger however is looking good -
@jimmyb Canterbury are a class above pretty much all the other NPC teams... loads of Super experience and some international

I do understand that but it’s all internal isn’t it. The gulf between the standard of coaching in the Canterbury region is ridiculous.
And it annoys me when Otago have these great young players who desperately need some decent o coaching and they don’t get it

We are sitting second/third. Have only looked to be battling against one team and are without our best player. The world isn't falling in and we are only behind by 10.

I just find it hard to be consistently positive after the past 4-5 years and not have a knee jerk reaction to things possibly going poorly

It isn't putting lipstick on a pig. It is just being realistic. We are one of the better teams this season. It is just Canterbury is the best.
