The roids will eventually catch up with you.

Half of his contemporaries barely made 40. He actually did very well.

As Virgil alludes to there is a school of thought that Hogan was a bit of an arsehole but he changed wrestling. If it wasn’t for him they’d still be in bingo halls.

There was nothing like WWE in the 80s. Larger than life and just amazing to watch. The superstars drastically shortened their lives for our entertainment

Hogan, Savage, Dibiasi, the Harts Foundation. Axe and Smash, Roddy Piper, Rick Rude, Jake the Snake, the Ultimate Warrior. Lots I've missed I'm sure, but what a time to be alive and watching TV as a teenager in 1980s NZ

Mr Perfect, Akeem, Big Boss Man, Brutus the Barber, Greg the hammer Valentine, Honky Tonk Man, Koko B Ware, Dusty Rhodes, Bad News Brown, Warlord and Barbarian…..

Outlaw Ron Bass, Hercules, Junkyard Dog, Superlfy Snuka and Hacksaw Jim Duggan are a few other notables missed.

And poor old Barry Horowitz, geez he took some hidings

@JK First time ever that Shore have won a 3-peat, and they're now just the second club to win more than 2 in a row - Takapuna did that in 1994-2000 and 2006-2009. The beginning of a new dynasty perhaps?
    North Harbour Premier 1 Wikipedia

    I think so.

My kids play for Shore, but I’m still 100% a northcote supporter. At least they aren’t playing for Taka!!

North Shore beat Taka 33-15 to take out the North Harbour club final on sat.

Back to back to back for North Shore who really are the dominant force in North Harbour rugby

Don't forget the other kiwi in the field - Dan Hillier. Shot a pretty tidy even par and sits T32. He's off early on day 2 so will be good to follow his progress tonight.

I actually got sent the whole team late last night but also didn't think it was legit as BB was out and Jordan on the bench, which differed from what we already knew.

The Myth of Damian Mckenzie facebook page sure likes to be taking credit for the "leaked" backline.

Had a look and they aren't taking credit - just said they had been "sent a leaked backline" and also that they "didn't think it was legit."

Hah and then in another post askes for "apologies from those who doubted his leaked team".

What a porkchop after even doubting it himself

    It's Open week!!!

Royal Portrush has the honours of hosting and on the Dunluce course which is pretty dam tough. Having said that, Shane Lowry was a runaway winner there last time (2019) at -15, 6 ahead of the next best.

Already fizzing, yet 4 or so days to go!

@JK He was playing for Northcote in their last three games of the season after coming back from Japan so that was obviously a good sign.

Also saw the news that Julian Savea is staying with Wellington despite the earlier rumours that he might stay in Harbour territory and play NPC for us. This would have filled some gaps in our backline spots, even if it was just for this season.

He lives up the street from me. Already had a few words to him about it over the years!

Haven't updated this thread in a while (forgot about it haha), but I completed my 47th marathon yesterday in Wellington. 3 hours 38 mins. About my standard time these days. Hope to get to 50 by the end of the year.

    Brilliant. Well done.

Maaaassive choke. Really wanted him to win too.

Alker also done in the final stretch by Miguel Jimenez on the champions tour who birdied his last two holes and forced a playoff. Alker then continued to struggle on 18 as he has all week. Bugger

Fox might end up top 20 at this rate. +7 and T21. Not bad considering.

Currently no one under par. Unlikely to get it finished today either now with the weather delay. Hopefully the light hangs around.
